Direct, clear, intense. Dried fruits, lightly roasted; orange with a buttery finish. A generous, characterful wine. It is full-bodied and rich, expressing an aroma of toased brioche. The fine bubbles and the notes of candied lemon peel at the finish give it a fresh and harmonious feel.
Born into families in Champagne, we grew up within the music of bubbles. After commerce-management studies for Virginie and viticulture studies for Bertrand, we had a five-year practice on a wine producing estate in Provence. From this episode in Marcel Pagnol’s universe, we still keep and olive grove that gives us what in Provence they call « Green gold » : one olive oil we keep for you, and will make food sing in your plates … An unexpected journey During the year 2000 the path of our life led us to Languedoc-roussillon, to “Domaine de Montmarin”, an estate the steward of which is Bertrand. In 2003, his parents passed a 7 hectare (+/- 173 acres) vineyard is Champagne on to him. We have now exploited it ever since. This family inheritance, we decided to work on it with the conception we have of our life : that is to remain in the south of France where Bertrand is the steward of the estate, and to manage our wine-producing establishment in Champagne.
