Madman Red Blend, Sonoma County, USA 2023

Description

Madman Sonoma Red Blend is a bold and expressive California red blend crafted from a distinctive combination of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Rich and generous, it opens with aromas of black cherry, brown sugar, anise, and cedar, followed by ripe flavors of cherry and cassis layered with red licorice, graphite, caramel, and warm oak. Bright acidity and fine-grained tannins bring balance and structure to the wine, while 16 months of aging in a combination of French and American oak adds depth and spice.
