Joh. Jos. Prum has been a benchmark for classically styled Mosel Rieslings for more than half a century. Formed in 1911 by Johann Josef Prum, the estate quickly established its reputation, particularly by son Sebastien, and most recently by Dr. Manfred Prum and his daughter Dr. Katharina Prum. Their rieslings are exceptionally long lived and beautifully consistent. Their expression of site is transparent, and wildly aromatic from spontaneous fermentation and minimal cellar intervention. These are a benchmark for a reason. 

The Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese comes from the exceptional Sonnenuhr vineyard at the southern end of the village of Zeltingen abutting the neighboring vineyards of Wehlen. This steep vineyard is grown in weathered blue slate soils facing southwest, providing ample warmth and sunshine for optimal ripeness. This Auslese is precise and mineral with crushed slate balancing the savory herb and ripe citrus and stone fruit. The palate is rich and deep with ripe fruit and grip from the pronounced minerality and fresh acidity.
