Sustainable Vineyard : certified High Environmental Value, Terra Vitis, evaluated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at exemplary level. A wine made by Franck Bijon (and Hubert de Boüard as consultant), aged 12 months in old French oak barrels. This château is from Vignobles de Larose, a group who owns 4 distinct châteaux (single estates), one of them being Château Larose-Trintaudon. In 2010 the company became the First European agricultural company to attain CSR certification at exemplary level, and today only 4 vineyards in Europe have reached this level.

During an Auction in 1719, Jean-Pierre du Pontet, Counselor to the King, acquired the Estate of Perganson. He added this property to Langoa and Canet which he already owned. At his death, his oldest son M. Pontet de Canet inherited his properties in Saint-Julien; his younger son, M. Pontet-Perganson, in turn inherited the Château in Saint-Laurent. The first brokering of the great wines of Perganson was done by the Lawton Courtier firm in 1742. Its market price regularly put it at the 5th Classified Growth level. The name of Larose first appears in the 1830’s, after Henry Delaroze, co-inheritor of future Gruaud-Larose in Saint-Julien, became owner of Perganson as well in 1815. Pontet-Perganson then became Larose-Perganson. In 1986, Assurance Générales de France (Allianz) purchased the Estate, partaking in the tremendous potential of its terroir.
