Description

Château de Landiras is today managed by Michel Pélissié, the owner, Francois Puerta, trained oenologist and director of the estate, and Adrien, Michel’s son, in charge of developing the family estates. The estate is located at the heart of Graves and embodies 700 years of history. Today, it produces Château de Landiras and the Cuvée Jeanne de Lestonnac. The latter owes its name to the most famous owner of the Château, which became a site for pilgrimage after her death in the 17th century. Michel Pelissie, the owner is a passionate and authentic man. From his Périgord roots, he inherited a sense for the land and good wine. For Mr Pélissié, making wine has always been a dream. In Bordeaux, the dream has came true. After having left the world of international architecture as the head of the architecture group Jean Nouvel in 2012, he can now focus completely on reviving great old estates and making excellent wines.

Grand generosity, showcasing deep, vigorous dark forest fruit and an appetising blackcurrant freshness within juicy and fabulously-integrated tannins. Lovely, boisterous and rich in fruit. Bravo!
