Le Prince de Courthézon is produced in the village of Courthézon in Châteauneuf du Pape, where old vine Grenache grown over galets roulés forms the backbone of the wine, typically supported by small portions of Syrah and Mourvèdre. The 2009 vintage reflects the warmth of the year, delivering a generous and expressive profile with ripe black cherry, dried fig, and plum layered with leather, spice, and Provençal herbs. With age, the tannins have softened into a supple, velvety texture, while notes of tobacco, earth, and savory garrigue add complexity to a long, warming finish.
