Day 1
Welcome to Catania
Arrive at Pasco Airport (PSC)
- Arrival at Catania Airport: Travelers are greeted and transported to the hotel.
- Check-in atHotel Villa Paradiso TaorminaRelaxation: Settle into accommodations and unwind.
- Evening: Welcome dinner at the hotel, meet fellow wine enthusiasts.
- 8:00 PM Transportation back to the Lodge with TC Black
Day 2
Wine Tours and Cultural Evening
- Morning: Depart for the first wine tour at Calcagno Winery, renowned for both Etna Rosso and Etna Bianco wines from Mount Etna.
- Lunch: Local cuisine at Parco Statella.
- Afternoon: Visit Costanzo Winery for another tasting session with wine maker Lorenzo Cassio. A wine maker pushing the limits of what can be done in the region with both varietals and technique.
- Evening: Opera, live performance at Teatro Antico (Greek Theatre) if available or Opera house. Location of performance is Scheduled 30 days prior to event.
- Free time to explore local hot spots in the town of Tao
Day 3
Wine and Cooking
- Morning: Start at Pietradolce Winery.
- Midday: Cooking Class at a local agriturismo, learning to prepare local traditional Sicilian dishes.
- Afternoon: Head to Passopisciaro Winery for a wine tasting. You will taste some interesting blends of wines from indigenous varietals as well as those from Lazio (Provence surrounding Rome).
- Evening: Dinner at Ristorante Le Grand Bleu, featuring fresh seafood and sea views.
Day4
Mount Etna Excursion
- Full Day: Explore Mount Etna’s landscapes and viticultural impact with a guided tour.
- Lunch: At Veneziano, featuring local specialties.
- Evening: . Italian Opera Taormina will be available
Day5
Wine Tasting and Culinary Skills
- Morning: Visit Gambino Vini for a wine tasting.
- Midday: Cooking Class focused on Sicilian pastries and desserts, including a visit to Pasticceria Santo Musumeci.
- Afternoon: Explore medieval Randazzo and its ancient churches.
- Evening: Dinner at Il Saraceno in a historic setting.
Day6
Culinary Adventures or Free Day
- Free Day: Optional visit to La Capinera for a beachside town relaxing under the sun and light seafood delicacies. Visit Castelmola and the Messina coast with view of the Italian Mainland.
- Evening: Purchase last minute mementos and gifts. Enjoy last dinner together at Vineria Modi.
Day 7
Departure
Morning: Farewell breakfast.
Check-out: Guests depart at their leisure to explore more or head to the airport.
