Produced in the village of Rorschwihr in Alsace, Domaine Rolly-Gassmann’s 2017 Pinot Blanc reflects the estate’s distinctive and richly textured house style. Aromas of ripe pear, apricot, citrus, white flowers, and subtle spice lead into a generous palate layered with orchard fruit, mineral freshness, and a signature velvety richness. Crafted from late-harvested fruit and slowly fermented with indigenous yeasts, the wine balances gentle off-dry sweetness with vibrant acidity, creating a beautifully defined and seamless finish. Elegant yet opulent, this Pinot Blanc is both expressive and deeply food-friendly.
Rolly-Gassmann is renowned for wines that combine richness and concentration with freshness and precision. The domaine’s hallmark style features a subtle velvety sweetness balanced by vibrant acidity, allowing the wines to remain both expressive and remarkably refined.
Tasting Notes:Pale yellow/straw colour. This Pinot Blanc offers aromas and flavors of apricot, pear, orange, grapefruit and marzipan. The wine is off dry, with pleasing residual sweetness from ripe fruit and a slightly viscous texture. A wonderful wine to pair with pork or chicken in sweet glazes like honey, maple or fruit. Would de delicious as an accompaniment to a cheese plate. The wine can be enjoyed over the next 10 years.
