THE CAUSE:
Over the last 50 years, bees, and therefore honey and other crops pollinated by bees have been threatened by Colony Collapse Disorder.

The decline in the Honey Bee population poses a serious threat to numerous parts of our ecosystem. Combating this requires funds for research, education and support for new bee colonies. In January 2017, the rusty patched bumble bee, a prized but vanishing pollinator once familiar to much of North America, was listed as an endangered species, becoming the first wild bee in the continental United States to gain such federal protection.
