From Sojeau Vineyard, a dry-farmed, organically farmed site at about 650 feet on southwest-facing volcanic slopes in the Eola-Amity Hills, this Pinot Noir benefits from direct exposure to the cooling Van Duzer winds. The vineyard’s mix of volcanic soils and Pommard, Wädenswil and Dijon 114 clones gives the wine both aromatic complexity and natural freshness. The 2024 shows black cherry, wild berries, violet, clove and wet stone, with a silky, rounded texture, bright acidity and fine tannins. The finish is long and savory, with a lingering mineral and blackberry character.
Vinous 94 The 2024 opens with floral underbrush, wet stones and clove-tinged black cherry, followed by ripe wild berries on a round, soft-textured palate. Bright acidity keeps the wine balanced, while chewy tannins and a lingering blackberry note carry the finish. Drinking window: 2028–2038
