This early release from a very promising vineyard on the extreme western edge of the Sta. Rita Hills offers earthy aromas of wet chalk alongside a lemony kick on the nose. There's a pithy grip reminiscent of apple peel to the palate, but the central story is of white-rock minerality. 

The 2022 Our Lady of Guadalupe (OLG) Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County's Sta. Rita Hills AVA is a remarkable expression of the region's terroir. Crafted from 100% Wente clone Chardonnay, this wine pours a pale liquid gold with a subtle blue-green shimmer. The nose is inviting, offering aromas of Meyer lemon zest, Marcona almond, white flowers, praline, and a delicate toast with a hint of musk. On the palate, it presents a rich texture balanced by bright acidity, featuring flavors of lemon custard, white peach, and orange pith. The finish is concentrated, leaving lingering notes of praline and mouthwatering acidity.
