Description

From the Veeder Hills Vineyard high on Mount Veeder, this flagship Cabernet reflects the rugged mountain terroir of Napa, where high elevation, cool conditions and diverse volcanic soils produce wines of exceptional structure and concentration. The 2019 blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec and 3% Petit Verdot opens with aromas of ripe blackberry, blueberry, mountain bramble, violets and bay leaf, layered with earthy brown spice. The palate is rich and velvety, with concentrated dark fruit, dark cocoa and subtle vanilla and baking spice, supported by refined tannins and a long, structured finish.
