Description

Chevreau is a small family estate in the village of Crézancy, run by Nicolas alongside his mother, Ingrid, and this cuvée takes its name from the white limestone soils it grows on. The wine is entirely Pinot Noir, and the limestone shows in its freshness and mineral lift. Expect a pale, luminous ruby and a nose of raspberry, red cherry and violet with a faint savory earthiness underneath. The palate is light to moderate in weight, silky, with soft tannins and bright acidity carrying a clean, refined, gently mineral finish. Serve it slightly chilled at around 55 degrees. It sits beautifully with salmon, roast chicken, charcuterie or a soft washed rind cheese, and it will drink well now through roughly 2028.
