The 2009 Balzini White Label Toscana IGT is a fully mature, serious Tuscan red that shows both polish and depth at this stage of its life. The nose is rich and evolved, offering dried black cherry, cassis, and plum layered with cedar, tobacco, leather, and a subtle balsamic note that adds lift and complexity.
On the palate, the wine is medium- to full-bodied with tannins that have softened beautifully into a smooth, integrated texture. The Cabernet-driven structure is still evident, but the fruit has shifted into a savory, earthy register, supported by enough acidity to keep the wine fresh and composed. The finish is long, warm, and gently spiced. This is a confident, well-resolved Super Tuscan–style wine that is drinking at or near peak and shines best with hearty, slow-cooked dishes or aged cheeses.
