A classic left-bank Bordeaux blend showing both ripeness and structure in this excellent vintage. The nose offers blackcurrant, plum, and blackberry with hints of cedar, graphite, and tobacco. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, with dark fruit framed by firm yet polished tannins and balanced acidity. Notes of spice and earthy minerality carry through to a long, savory finish. Approachable now with decanting, but well-suited to cellar for 8–12 years.

With a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this wine from the northern Médoc is structured with a dry core that sustains the black-currant fruits. Smoky as well as textured, the wine needs to age further. Drink from 2024. Roger Voss
