Bestizo” takes its name from the Spanish word for crossbreed or blend, and this 2023 vintage embodies the modern, approachable side of Bierzo reds while still rooted in tradition. Crafted primarily from Mencía, the region’s hallmark grape, Bestizo shows the variety’s elegance, freshness, and food-friendly personality.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby hue with violet reflections. The nose is perfumed with red cherry, blackberry, and plum, accented by wild herbs, subtle florals, and a hint of graphite. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, silky, and balanced... vibrant red and black fruit flavors are supported by fine tannins and lively acidity. A touch of spice and earthiness emerges on the finish, giving it depth without heaviness.
