Description
From the high-altitude vineyards of Gualtallary in Argentina’s renowned Mendoza region, Bodega Aleanna’s 2019 Gran Enemigo is a remarkable red blend crafted by celebrated winemaker Alejandro Vigil in collaboration with Adrianna Catena. Combining 40% Malbec, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, the wine is fermented in French oak barrels and aged for 15 months in century-old oak foudres. Expressive aromas of ripe blackberry, dark cherry and plum mingle with savory herbs, white pepper, cocoa and subtle earthy notes. The palate is rich yet beautifully balanced, offering juicy dark fruit, vibrant acidity, fine chalky tannins and distinctive mineral complexity. A long, elegant finish highlights its freshness, precision and exceptional aging potential.
