Description

Magnificent deep ruby colour with purple tints. Nose of liquorice and violet wrapped around classic black fruit aromas. Voluminous, soft palate. The tannins are well-integrated, showing plenty of character but without aggressiveness and underlying some fine fruit. One word sums it all: elegance.

About the Producer

Our wines bear fruit of a unique terroir that generously offers both authenticity and complexity. A true respect for the vines and the soil, coupled with the alliance of tradition and modernity in how we work, and our constant search for optimizing what mother nature delivers, allow us to consistently produce the most enjoyable wine that is true to its origins. We’re fortunate to have a team of women and men with years of experience. They are dedicated and meticulous in their work, and although primarily focused on the present, they are always projecting well into future. It’s an important aspect of our work, when the wines we are producing today will improve with age, and may reach their pinnacle in 10-20 years time.

Wine Enthusiast 91
This 108-acre property has produced a wine with rich black-fruit flavors and dense tannins. It has a firm structure as well as a strong juicy element. It's ripe, full and likely to age well. Drink from 2023.
James Suckling 92
Lots of dark-berry and chocolate-bean aromas follow through to a full body, chewy tannins and a juicy finish. A blend of 50 per cent merlot, 45 per cent cabernet sauvignon and five per cent cabernet franc. Needs two or three years to soften. Better after 2022.
