From the dramatic hillside vineyards of Gigondas, Les Racines is a flagship cuvée of Domaine Les Pallières. The estate has long been associated with the Brunier family of Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, bringing precision and structure to this traditionally powerful appellation.
The 2007 vintage in the Southern Rhône was exceptional, producing wines of depth, ripeness and balance. Built primarily on old vine Grenache with supporting Syrah and Mourvèdre, Les Racines comes from higher altitude sites, giving freshness to the naturally rich fruit.
Now fully mature, the wine shows deep garnet color with evolved edges. Aromas reveal black cherry, plum compote, dried herbs, lavender, leather and subtle game. The palate remains full bodied yet polished, with softened tannins framing dark fruit, spice and savory earth. The finish is long and layered, combining warmth with lifted Provençal character.
