From Napa Valley, this Reserve Pinot Noir from Dignitas showcases the richness of the excellent 2012 vintage. The growing season was long and even, producing wines with generous fruit and balanced structure.
Now fully mature, the wine shows a deep garnet hue. Aromas reveal ripe black cherry, plum and raspberry layered with baking spice, vanilla and subtle earth. With time in bottle, notes of dried rose, forest floor and soft oak emerge.
On the palate it is medium to full bodied with silky tannins and a smooth, rounded texture. The fruit has evolved toward darker, more savory tones while maintaining freshness through a lingering finish. Drinking beautifully now, it pairs well with roasted duck, grilled salmon or herb roasted pork, and benefits from a short decant.
