Description

From Vougeot in the Côte de Nuits, this Premier Cru is crafted by Domaine Mongeard Mugneret. The 2019 vintage delivered ripe fruit with excellent balance and structure.

Les Cras sits on limestone rich soils just below the Grand Cru sites, giving both depth and precision. The wine shows bright ruby color with aromas of black cherry, raspberry and violet layered with subtle spice and mineral notes. On the palate it is refined and structured, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, focused finish.

Still youthful and built to age, it benefits from decanting and pairs beautifully with duck, game birds or mushroom dishes.
