Description

From the rolling hills of Tuscany, this Super Tuscan style blend is produced by Diadema at Villa l Olmo. The 2009 vintage was warm and generous, giving wines with ripe fruit, supple texture and immediate charm.

D Vino is typically a blend built around Sangiovese with international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in oak to add structure and polish. With time in bottle, the wine shows deep garnet color and layered aromas of black cherry, plum, dried fig, cedar, tobacco and sweet spice.

On the palate it is medium to full bodied with softened tannins and a smooth, rounded profile. The fruit has evolved toward dried dark berry and earthy notes, balanced by lingering spice on the finish.
